We met on Wednesday and will be continuing to meet on the first and third Wednesday of the month, to knit or crochet together. We are indeed expanding to include any kind of knitting for others, whether it is a hat for a preemie, or booties, or something to keep a child or an adult warm. Whatever projects call will be appropriate.
We have pattens for many of these projects, and will be searching out others. Ultimately, there will be links so that anyone who wishes to do this kind of knitting (or crocheting or sewing!) will be able to.
Last night I found a link for chemo caps, that has patterns for knit, crocheted and sewn caps to be worn by those who have lost their hair as a side effect from chemotherapy.
